Montreal Biosphere, former U.S. Expo pavillion

The Biosphere is one of the few remnants of the Expo ’67 world fair in Montreal. It was a geodesic dome designed by Buckminster Fuller for the U.S. pavillion. Originally, it was enclosed with plexiglass panels between the metal frame, but a fire in 1976 left only the metal. Today it is a museum of the environment. HDR
